We viewed the 3d version before Christmas last year and we all remember a sex scene where the na’vi hair plugs were linked but on the new DVD screener we were previewed, it was absent and instead they dry hump each other???
did we really imagine an alternative version as we all commented at the time how odd it was that Jake mated with a horse, a tree , a bird and his girl in the same way; though extremely practical ethically iffy…was it just the 3d messing with out over active minds???
No I saw that. To clarify; in the cinema (I saw it twice) Jake and [the blue chic] join through the freaky hair thing, and then have sex (well dry hump but..anyway). Did you check the runtime for the DVD on IMDB to see if the DVD was cut down at all?
I remember that was the issue that annoyed me the most about the movie, I accepted that the indigenous population of remote alien planet would be bi-pedal humanoids with the same facial structure and arrangement as us, the same type of epidermis and a similar vocal communication method and very similar nervous system to us with no problem at all. But for some reason, when it became clear our sex organs were in the same place and we copulated the same way, I called BS on James Cameron’s arse. Apparently my imagination doesn’t like people anthropomorphising alien sex.
